Oil change reminders on WhatsApp for quick lube shops

For: Quick lube and oil change shops · Updated October 25, 2026

Short answer

At every change, record the mileage and when the next one is due (for example, +5,000 km). A system estimates how much each customer drives and messages them on WhatsApp a few days before they get there; they reply in the same chat to book. The windshield sticker helps, but WhatsApp is what brings them back.

What to record at every change

  • Plate, make and model.
  • Mileage at the change.
  • Oil and filter used (brand, viscosity, quantity).
  • When you recommend the next change, in kilometers or days.
  • The customer's WhatsApp.

How to work out when to remind

Two visits tell you how far they drive per day. If they changed oil at 50,000 km and came back a month later with 51,000 km, they drive about 33 km a day; if the next change is at 55,000 km, they'll get there in about four months. Remind them a week before.

With no history yet, use the interval in months you recommend.

Counter sales: oils and filters

Many quick lubes also sell oil and filters over the counter. Keep those sales in the same system as your inventory so you know what's left and what you sold today.

How Sherom does it at your quick lube

  • Automatic WhatsApp reminder under your shop's name.
  • The customer replies and the assistant books the appointment; you confirm with one click.
  • Counter sales of oils and filters with stock that updates itself and the day's cash by payment method.
